Space Availability - Gates Public Library

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT RESERVING A ROOM:

  • Meeting Rooms may be reserved up to 5 times per month totaling 16 hours of use during the month.  Meeting Room requests require staff approval, and you will be notified by email.

  • Study Rooms may be reserved a maximum of once per day, for a 2-hour time block. There is no block-booking; you must wait until your current room use is over before making another request.  Study Room requests do not require staff approval, and you will receive an email confirming your booking immediately after submitting the form.

  • For Study Room extension requests, please call the library at (585) 247-6446 after submitting your online request.

  • Rooms are free for non-profit scientific, literary, civic, cultural, educational, and study groups.  See Fees for For-Profit use or Private Event use.

  • IMPORTANT when booking Community Space A or B: Sound may carry through the partition wall when both halves are in use; also, simultaneous use of the AV systems by two groups may cause video and sound conflicts, as they are operated by a single control panel. If these issues are a concern, we recommend booking the entire Community Space for your group.

Study Rooms are designed for study, tutoring, and small meeting use by the public.  Non-profit groups may use the Study Rooms free of charge.  For-profit groups may use the Study Rooms for a fee (detailed above).
